MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF BOAC TO LAUNCH TRABAHO PROGRAM

August 2007

 

     Overseas employment has become a global phenomenon. It is expected to continue because the modern world needs transnational movements to support the increasingly globalizing world economy. It is on the said event that the Municipality of Boac in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Marinduque will launch the “Trabaho Program” with the theme “Trabaho para sa kaunlaran at kasaganaan ng bawat pamilyang Marinduqueño”.

     This program will give encouragement and greater chance to our fellow Marinduqueños who perceived that there are greater opportunities abroad.

     In connection with this, Jobs Fair and processing of NBI, Passport and Authenticated Birth Certificate will be conducted at the Boac covered court on scheduled basis. Trabaho Hotline 0920-6969355 will also be launch.

BOAC COMMUNITY CRIME AND EMERGENCY TEXT HOTLINE

Text or call Number 0920-2494-111 to report crime and emergency

 

     The municipality had already launched a Text Messaging Hotline to enable every family to have a direct contact with the Boac Police Station to report crime and other emergencies. The Text Messaging or Call Service will be available 24/7 for people to leave information that can be acted upon by the Boac Police Force and the Boac Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council. As well as being quick and easy to use, information can be left in complete confidence, without texters or callers having to leave their personal details, unless they specifically wish to do so. The Boac Police Station is also currently maintaining a logbook wherein all information will be officially recorded including the cell. phone number of the source of information for further verification.
     This Text Messaging Service is the initiative of Mayor Meynardo B. Solomon as part of his Lakas ng Barangay Program. This new service is an addition to the range of ways for people to contact their Local Police Force.

     Information Billboard highlighting the initiative had been sponsored by Smart Communication and set-up in various strategic areas of the municipality (see information billboard). The Text Messaging Service is also highlighted at the GABAY KALIGTASAN NG PAMILYA which was distributed in various barangays.
